A hundred rafts all set for Monmouth race
MORE than 100 rafts have nowregistered to take part in the 48th annual Monmouth Raft Race on September 1.
The race starts at noon at Monmouth Rowing Club and is paddled over six and a half miles downthe River Wye to the finish at Tump Farm, Whitebrook, where there is a family festival with entertainment and refreshment.
All sponsorship money received will be donated to St David’s Foundation Hospice Care (75 per cent) and other charities supported by Monmouth Rotary Club (25 per cent).
