FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a three-storey block of flats in Newport last night.
Crews from Maindee, Malpas and Duffryn attended the fire at the Newport City Homes-owned block on Aberthawe Road, Alway, around 10.56pm.
A spokesman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said no-one was injured.
Fire officers are investigating the cause, but it is believed it may have started in the porch of the building.
