A JACK Sparrow look-a-like joined in the summer fun at Newport's Kingsway Centre.
The shopping centre is celebrating the summer holidays every Thursday with themed family free fun days.
The events have seen children interact with a life-size dinosaur walkabout and get creative with an arts and crafts workshop.
Last Thursday saw children take part in a pirate themed funday to meet a Jack Sparrow look a-like and hear the famous pirate tell them stories from his time at sea.
Children also took pictures with the pirate and had the chance to win a life size cut out of the man himself by entering their names into a prize draw.
The Kingsway Centre has other events lined up including a balloon workshop on August 22 and an animal show on August 29.
On August 22 children can learn how to twist and turn balloons in to their own creations while at the animal show children can meet animals such as rabbits, chickens, ducks and more.
All events will take place in Kingsway Centre between 11am and 4pm with a 1pm to 2pm break.
Parking at the Kingsway Centre is free for the first two hours.
