TEENS from Nantyglo and Blaina Air Cadets have been enjoying their first flight in a Royal Air Force Vigilant Glider.
The Cadets, aged 14 to 19 were flying with 634 Volunteer Gliding Squadron at MOD St. Athan.
Cadets Emma Rose, Sarah Rose, Nicole D'Arcy and Cadet Sergeant Josh Fish all flew in the local area and were able to take control of the aircraft under the guidance of a qualified pilot.
Flying and gliding are among the many activities that the 13 to 19 year olds take part in. Other activities are hill walking, kayaking, rock climbing, camps, shooting, overseas visits, sports and participation in the Duke of Edinburgh awards.
275 (Nantyglo and Blaina) Squadron meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 7 to 9pm at the HQ in Pilgrim Gardens, Blaina.
