PONTYPOOL Community Council’s policy and finance committee are set to decide if more dog bins are to be installed.
At the meeting on September 4, committee members will decide if they can support a request for additional dog waste bins.
Eight requests for additional dog waste bins to be provided by the council were made at the last planning and environment committee, which was approved subject to finance being available.
Each bin costs £400, plus approximately £100 fitting and fixing.
Therefore the committee is to decide if the additional £2,000 required for the bins can be transferred from the council’s general fund to enable the eight bins to be provided.
