GWENT Police have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted by a horse-rider in Cwmbran.
The incident happened at about 6.50pm on Wednesday 14th august at the Crematorium roundabout on the A4042. As the victim - a 47-year-old woman from Cwmbran - was approaching the roundabout in her vehicle, she became aware that a horse had bolted out of a nearby field and had run across the road. A woman - dressed in full riding gear - was trying to catch the horse. The victim got out of her car and offered to help but was assaulted by the woman. The victim received minor injuries.
If anyone has information, specifically other members of the public who were in the vicinity at the time, they are asked to call Gwent Police on 101 and quote log number 381 14/8/13
