ANIMAL shows, stalls and farmyard fancy dress were all part of the fun at the Greenmeadow Show yesterday.
Hundreds of people, of all ages, made their way to Cwmbran’s Greenmeadow community farm for the show yesterday to enjoy events including pig racing, a dog show and a pony demonstration.
Among the performers were Llangibby Pony Club while MelloD harmony singers provided musical entertainment.
A number of visitors also got into the spirit of things by dressing up with costumes including pigs and bunnies.
Around 150 entries were also made into competitions including the best tray of vegetables, the best craft exhibit and the best cookery exhibit.
There were also flower competitions held as well as children’s competitions.
Kate Holly, of Greenmeadow farm, said the day had gone “really well” and said that although they didn’t have official visitor numbers, it was in the high hundreds.
