IT WAS all about giant onions, carrots and marrows at the Swffryd gardening society’s 11th annual flower and vegetable show.
Sections of the show, which was held at the weekend, included vegetables, cut flowers, cookery, handicrafts as well as children’s classes for the youngsters.
Among the entrants at the show were 90-year-old Bryn Brown who showed best overall exhibitor for his tomatoes while chairman of the society Steve Woodward won best exhibit in the show with his carrots.
Visitors to Swffryd community centre were also treated to displays of giant vegetables as well as flowers on display including sweet peas and fuschias.
It wasn’t all about giant entries though with a competition at the event also being held to find the best miniature garden.
