A MAN who threw a stone at the window of a home in a long-standing feud with a former schoolmate has been fined.

James Smith, 33, of Elm Drive, Risca, damaged the kitchen window of his former school peer Gary Morgan's girlfriend on August 24, a court heard.

Crown prosecutor, Ruth Hale, said the pair had had a "long-standing dispute" and the court heard that Smith had been picked on at school.

Smith pleaded guilty to criminal damage but the estimated damage to the window was not known, Cwmbran Magistrates' Court heard.

JP Sarah Byford gave him a £75 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.
