THE NEWPORT Cycle Challenge is under way following the launch event on September 9.
The event at the Intellectual Property Offices on The Celtic Springs Park, was attended by the Darren Waters and Lewis Robling of the Newport Gwent Dragons, along with the Mayor, and Welsh Cycling, in an effort to get the people of Newport out on their bikes over the next three weeks.
Since the launch over 200 people that either live or work in Newport have now registered for the challenge and are ready to compete for a range of prizes supplied by local Newport businesses.
If you want to get involved register on line at to www.lovetoride.net/newport and record each time you ride on your bike for just 10 minutes or more.
The competition is open to everybody aged 16 or over, either as an individual or through the workplace.
