A BRAVE daughter took on a sky diving challenge to raise money for her mums condition.

Beverley Miller, 31, a trainee teaching assistant, of Newbridge, embarked on a 10,000 feet tandem skydive in Devon, on September 8, to raise £265 to help her mum s condition, Myasthenia Gravis.

Her mother Maisie Miller, 63, of Blackwood, suffers from the condition which results in the body's immune system attacking itself weakening the voluntary muscles that control the eyes, the face, throat and limbs and the muscles that help us breath.

Now Miss Miller has raised money for the charity Myasthenia Gravis Association which funds specialist nurses who look after sufferers in the UK, as well as providing funding towards research in to the condition.

Mrs Miller said: “She was brilliant, and she loved every minute of the sky dive.

“It was really nice that she did it for me.”

The mum of one added: “It was incredible.

“I found the whole thing really exciting, and it was good to have done it for such a good cause.”
