UPDATE 11.00am
A RISCA school has been forced to closed due to a problem with the water supply.
In a statement released at 10.38 this morning, headteacher of Community Comprehensive School John Kendall said: “There is a problem with the water supply in school today and we have no water in the School or the Leisure Centre.
“This cannot be repaired within the next few hours.
“We have therefore decided to close the building for Health and Safety reasons and pupils in Y8- 11 will be returning home from 11 o’clock after lesson 2.
“Where possible work has been set for the rest of the day.
“Any pupils who are unable to get home or whose parents are unable to make alternative arrangements are able to stay in school until such time as this can be sorted out.
“Food is available. Pupils in Y7 will remain in school until we can be assured their parents have been contacted individually. We will provide a further update later today.”
