NEWPORT’S Tiny Rebel Brewery are set to open their brand new bar next week.
Co-owners Gareth Williams and Bradley Cummings will launch Urban Tap House on Westgate Street in Cardiff opposite the entrance to the Cardiff Arms Park rugby ground on Wednesday.
The bar is the next step in the Maesglas-based brewery’s remarkable rise from garage shed in St Bride’s to multi-award winners at the Great Welsh Beer Festival and being stocked as far and wide as Australia and Norway.
The team were relatively tight-lipped about what drinkers can expect but did confirm there will be eight cask beer lines and ten keg lines, as well as four double fridges full of bottled beers from around the world, most of which haven’t visited Wales before, and the “largest selection of cider in Cardiff.”
“We’re very excited,” Mr Cummings said, “We’re looking forward to seeing people’s reactions to it.
“We can’t give too much away, but it’s going to be a real beer junkies paradise.”
He said he hoped the bar would host beer clubs and talks on home brewing as well as acting for a place for people to hang out and enjoy their latest creations.
The beer will have 15 staff in total.
