1.Philips HD7567/20 Filter Coffee Machine, Black (£19.95 from johnlewis.com)

This elegant Philips filter coffee maker allows you to enjoy the pleasant aroma from the moment you wake up, thanks to the ‘Aroma Swirl’ technology. The Aroma Swirl is a smart nozzle in your coffee pot which mixes coffee flowing into the jug with the coffee already there, creating a consistent aroma, which, along with a timer, means you can now literally wake up and smell the coffee. Just prepare your coffee machine, set the time and wake up to the smell of freshly-brewed coffee. Plus, thanks to its powerful 1000W you will never be left waiting long for your morning cup. It’s also one the cheapest coffee machines on the market – score!

3.Next Cakepop maker (£18, from next.co.uk)

Cake pops are teeny-weeny cakes on a stick – what’s not to love? They look like lollipops, and are made up of leftover cake crumbs or batter mixed with icing or chocolate, and formed into small spheres or cubes and can be given a coating of icing, chocolate or other decorations before being attached to lollipop sticks. Delicious!

This kettle in sleek black will be a stylish addition to your kitchen. Breville is the Land Rover of the kitchen world – sturdy and dependable. This kettle is both practical and stylish with rapid boil technology and a removable and washable lime scale filter, for better tasting hot drinks.

5.The Fish Tea infuser (£6.99 from www.lazyboneuk.com)

Only 70-80 per cent of teabags sold in the UK are actually biodegradable or compostable. Because some teabags have heat-resistant polypropylene inside, they cannot totally degrade.

Thus, the humble tea strainer is making a comeback and people are buying loose tea more than ever before. The Fish Tea Infuser ‘swims’ around in your mug or teapot, letting the tea diffuse into the water.

It comes with a handy chain, so you just pop your tea leaves of choice inside the fish and set him free to swim around.

6.Tesco Cupcake Stand (£13 from Tesco)

This cheap and cheerful cupcake stand is perfect for hosting afternoon tea.

Featuring a silver chrome effect and several layers, this is great for serving up cupcakes to your fanciest guests.
