GWENT Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured after crash in Newport yesterday afternoon.
The collision involved a blue Peugeot 206 and a cyclist happened on Greenmeadow Road, Newport at around 5.20pm.
The cyclist, an 18-year-old man from Caldicot, sustained head and leg injuries and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital for treatment where he currently remains in a stable condition. The driver of the Peugeot was uninjured.
Officers are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the Peugeot or cyclist in the lead up to the incident to call 101 quoting log 441 23/09/13.
