TWO men each charged with three counts of attempted murder following a shooting in Newport are due to make pleas in November.
Brogan Hooper, 20, of no fixed address, and Lewis Bridge, 22, of Nash Drive, Newport, both appeared at Cardiff Crown Court via video link.
The Argus reported that Hooper appeared in magistrates’ court last week charged with the attempted murder of John Phillips, Michael Wall and Shanice Francis on September 3.
Bridge had previously appeared in magistrates’ court on September 9 after also being charged with three counts of attempted murder.
Both defendants were remanded in custody and are due to appear in court for a plea and case management hearing on November 22.
Two men, aged 22 and 24 from the Newport area, who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident, remain on police bail pending further inquiries. Two men from the Cardiff area, aged 22 and 24, arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs also remain on police bail.
