NEWPORT County AFC announced Melin Homes is the latest to become an official Community Partner of the Club, enabling the club to appoint a new coach.
Melin’s financial support along with Jobs Growth Wales funding and partnership funding from the FAW Trust and Newport City Council’s Sport and Leisure fund will see County appoint a second Community Coach just a month after appointing Norman Parselle as the Community Development Officer.
Chief Executive of Newport County, Dave Boddy, said: “We are delighted to have Melin Homes on board as they are a perfect partner to support our Community activities. They already have such a strong presence in community activities and have a great community ethos within their business.
“We are hugely looking forward to working with them. We are also excited about the prospect of appointing a second full time community development coach so quickly after launching our community programme”
Social landlords, Melin Homes, supported The Exiles earlier this year with Jobs Growth Wales funding, which enabled the club to take on Jordan Royal in the administration office.
Mr Royal has since become a permanent member of staff as the customer liaison officer. Melin Homes is the final partner to be added to an impressive list.
