Two injured in 'serious' Ponthir crash
TWO people were injured in what police called a 'serious' crash in Ponthir last night.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the incident, which occurred close to the Village Hall on the B4236 Caerleon Road, at around 7.30pm.
The road was closed with diversions in place and motorists were advised to avoid the area.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 411 13/11/13.
