A MAN who fell from a window in Blaenavon is being treated in hospital.
Police were call to Broad Street Blaenavon at around 9.15pm on Tuesday after reports that a flat had been broken into.
A Gwent Police spokesman said: “Officers attended and were made aware that a man had fallen from a window in the building.
“The 32-year-old was taken to Nevill Hall hospital in Abergavenny to be treated for arm and head injuries.”
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokeswomen confirmed that they sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and a man with head, leg and wrist injuries was taken to hospital.
He is reported to be in a comfortable and stable condition.
One witness said: "When police arrived at scene and startled the man he fell from a third story window and landed in the middle of the road on Broad Street, Blaenavon. He sustained numerous injuries including two broken wrists, a broken ankle and serious lacerations to the head where he lost a lot of blood. Six police officers and scenes of crime were on scene."
Inquiries are ongoing and police officers are asking anyone who may have any information to ring 101 quoting log 531 12/11/13.
