GWENT man Anthony Perrett, one of the British Greenpeace activists arrested by Russian authorities during a protest, has been released from detention in a St Petersburg prison.
The 32-year-old was arrested in September on hooliganism charges with 29 others after a protest at an Arctic offshore oil rig.
He is the first Briton to be freed on bail, Greenpeace said.
Eleven others have also been granted bail.
