A NEW pop-up restaurant led by Welsh Masterchef duo is already fully booked for its limited opening time.

The restaurant, Hokkei which launched on Thursday evening, will only be open until Sunday evening and is completely booked up for the weekend.

The restaurant run by Dale Williams and Larkin Cen is in the Celtic Manor Resort's Manor house.
Mr Cen said: “Dale and I became great friends filming Masterchef and we soon realised we both wanted to pursue careers in the kitchen after the show. We share a passion for modern Asian cuisine but wanted to create a new twist on this style.

“This gives everyone an opportunity to try our menu before we find a permanent home for the restaurant in the new year.”

Dishes include a 21st Century Duck starter of smoked duck breast, duck consommé and Peking duck wraps; a Shanghai Sizzler main course of pulled pork Singapore noodles, triple-cooked crispy beef and spring rolls; and a dessert of pineapple panna cotta and accompanying drink.

Mr Williams said: “We wanted to create a fresh and funky take on modern Asian cuisine."

The three-course set menu comes at a fixed price of £30 per person.
