HUNDREDS of people visited Abergavenny’s Market Hall on Sunday for Vintage Vision’s seventh fair.

More than 700 people had visited by 1pm, with organisers expecting many more by the end of the day.

Visitors browsed more than 30 stalls selling clothing, accessories, home-ware and Christmas gift ideas.

A pop-up vintage café sold tea and homemade cakes, and there was music and dancing demonstrations throughout the day.

Budding entrepreneurs were also able to get advice on how to set up their own business.

Vintage Vision was set up four years ago as a social enterprise run by volunteers with shops in Abergavenny, Blaenavon and Chepstow. They run sewing workshops, talks and classes on textile recycling and restyling.

Next week at a London presentation, they will receive £10,000 from Santander’s Social Enterprise Development Awards scheme to develop a website to sell their vintage clothes to a wider market across the UK, Europe and the USA.
