A CHARITY which helps the relatives of missing people is hosting a carol service to remember those who are missing this Christmas.
The charity event is being organised in partnership with Rachel Elias, whose brother Richard Edwards, the guitarist in the band Manic Street Preachers, has been missing since 1995. The service will remember all missing children and adults, many of whom will be facing Christmas alone this year.
It will be attended by the families of missing people from across South Wales, as well as local volunteers and supporters. There are currently 22 appeals in Wales that the charity is publicising.
Rachael Elias, Missing People’s Family Representative, said: “It is every family’s worst nightmare when something like this happens. I hope this carol service will be an opportunity for the city of Cardiff to come together, and I encourage anyone who is interested in getting involved in the service to get in touch.”
Martin Crosby, Wales Campaign Manager for Missing People said: “The carol service will be a great opportunity to remember those who are missing this Christmas. The money raised by the event will help our charity continue to provide a lifeline for missing people in Cardiff and across the UK.”
The event will be on December 11 at 7pm in the Tabernacle Welsh Baptist Church, The Hayes, Cardiff.
