THE presentation to the winners of the South Wales Argus Young Gwent Artist of the Year 2013 is to take place on Wednesday December 4.

All shortlisted winners are invited to come along to the presentation which will be held in the upstairs bar area of the Riverfront Theatre, Newport.

Judges will then reveal the winners and runners-up in the three age categories and of course the overall winner of this year's competition.

Winners will receive cash prizes and certificate with the overall winner receiving a specially made trophy created by the University of South Wales.

Deputy editor of the South Wales Argus Nicole Garnon said: "Our annual competition makes us realise just what a talented lot of young people we have here in Gwent. Once again it was very difficult to pick the winners but we have made out choices and are looking forward to handing over the prizes.

"For the first time this year we also asked visitors to the exhibition at the Riverfront to nominate their favourite work of art and we will also be revealing that choice next Wednesday evening. "

The presentation is very informal and is open to all who were shortlisted to attend and will run between 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
