CHILDREN from a Newport nursery were hand delivered a festive tree by Father Christmas.
Over 40 children from St Woolos nursery took part in the annual Christmas tree hunt which involved children and parents searching Belle Vue Park for a suitable tree for their classroom.
But after all trees were deemed unsuitable and it looked a lost cause, Father Christmas turned up to save the day.
He presented them with a tree for the nursery as well as giving everyone a Christmas selection box.
The children then thanked Father Christmas by singing carols that they’ll be performing at their Christmas concert.
Katherine Dickinson, 42, a teacher at the nursery, said: “The children loved it. All the parents were talking about how wonderful it was to see the children’s faces light up when Santa arrived with a tree.”
