POLICE are investigating after a man was taken to hospital following a collision with a car at Newport train station on Thursday morning.
The 57-year-old was a pedestrian in the car park at the train station at around 9.38am when he was involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa.
He was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, for a check up but police say they are now making enquiries to find the driver of the car who left the scene.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A paramedic in a rapid response vehicle and an emergency ambulance were dispatched to the scene, and one man with minor injuries was taken to Royal Gwent Hospital.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information is asked to call 101 quoting log 103 05/12/13.
