Christmas isn't Christmas without a traditional, fun-filled panto, and Llanyrafon Drama Group's very festive, Christmas Carol proved just the tonic on a drzzly winter's eve.
Goodies, baddies, dance, song and laughter, this production, cleverly adapted and produced by Paul Howellls had it all.
Gwyn Teague gave a professional and polished performance as town miser Ebenezer Scrooge, perfectly offset by the up-beat, good-natured Bob Cratchit played with ease by Stephen Hopkins.
The Cratchit children, Chloe Smallman, Ffion Thomas, Rowena Timm, Lilly Cory, Abbie Kinder and Kayleigh Gordon were a delight and Lynne Webber kept them superbly in line in the role of Mrs Cratchit.
Full credit must go to musical director Ashley Vowles. The panto excelled in it's musicalty and never more so than with the vocals of the talented Roisin O'Hare, who kept the pace and the story flowing in the role of The Spirit of Christmas Past.
Every panto thrives on its humour, and Christopher Timm provided this in bucketfuls in two tongue-in-cheek performances as the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come and Scrooge's nephew Fred.
Fantastic family entertainment, full of good-will and true community spirit.
You can catch the panto next Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the hall, Tickets available at the door.
