NTYGLO couple have been honoured at the House of Lords for their commitment to vulnerable young people in the community.
Carole and Ray Mainwearing have been foster carers with Action for Children’s Taith Newydd Fostering in Newport since 2005.
Their dedication was recognised at the House of Lords, where they were given a Stephenson Award by Action for Children.
Jason Hughes, team manager at Action for Children’s Taith Newydd Fostering, said: “Being a foster carer is a demanding but invaluable role and Carole and Ray have done an amazing job.”
