FLOOD warnings have been given for Gwent rivers this afternoon. The River Usk in Monmouthshire and Newport and Rivers Wye and Monnow in Monmouthshire are subject to warnings.
A 'Flood Alert' means 'Flooding is possible. Be prepared' and it is the lowest of three possible levels of flood warning given by the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.
The Environment Agency say the level of the Usk at Abergavenny and rising is 3.2 metres and in Usk Town it is 2.3 metres and rising.
