SEVERAL roads are closed in Monmouthshire this evening due to rain water.
Osbaston road, is said to be badly flooded with water coming up from the drains, while he road by the Bell Inn, Skenfrith, is closed due to a small stream running down the road, making it unsafe for drivers.
Monmouthshire County Council operation teams are also investigating sites in the Goytre area, although closures are yet to be confirmed.
Several trees are reportedly down due to the high winds, but teams have been responding quickly to minimise impact on motorists.
A council spokeswoman said: “Please take care when driving around the county. The high winds and surface water result in poor driving conditions.”
