A WOMAN was rescued by a fire crew after falling 20ft down an embankment in Abercarn this morning.
Emergency services were called to Gwyddon Road, Llanfach in Abercarn at 11.39am.
A spokesman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the woman was taken to hospital with a suspected broken ankle after crews from Malpas, Barry and Abercarn used a boat stretcher to bring her to safety.
