ENTERTAINING: Pupils met Carwyn Jones after their performance
NEWPORT schoolchildren performed for the First Minister and a minister from the Chinese embassy at a Chinese New Year ceremony at the Senedd last week.
Eight children from Millbrook Primary School in Bettws were the only pupils in Wales chosen to perform at the event on Thursday for Carwyn Jones and Cong Pei Wu.
They performed a fan dance at the ceremony and met Mr Jones and Mr Pei Wu afterwards.
The school has its own Chinese language assistant, Na Guan, who teaches Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils.
