A MAN and a disabled woman were rescued from their car by fire fighters this afternoon after it became stranded in two feet of water near Caerleon.
The pair called South Wales Fire and Rescue Service at 12.49pm from Bulmore Road at the back of the Celtic Manor estate.
Fire fighters from Usk and Malpas, who brought an inflatable boat, attended and rescued the pair from their car by 2pm.
They gave them a lift to their destination, said a spokeswoman for the fire service.
