THIS picture was taken by an Argus reader at the River Wye at Monmouth today and shared on Twitter - showing a seal near the Haberdasher's Monmouth School for Girls rowing centre.
The swollen waters have burst the river's banks in the town.
The Severn Area Rescue Association says seals have been spotted in the Monmouth area before - and it is advising people not to attempt to touch them. Have you spotted a great picture of local wildlife? Tweet @southwalesargus
