A 20-YEAR-OLD pregnant woman from Tredegar has died following a crash on the A465 between Brynmawr and Garnlydan last night.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving two cars on the heads of the valley road at around 11.00pm last night.
Gwent Police officers, fire crews and the ambulance service attended the collision which involved a blue Peugeot 207 and a silver Peugeot 307.
The passenger of the Peugeot 307, a 20-year-old pregnant woman was taken to Nevill Hall hospital in a critical condition.
She and her unborn baby have since died.
The Basingstoke man driving the Peugeot 207 and the Tredegar man driving the Peugeot 307 were uninjured but both are suffering from shock.
The dead woman's family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Gwent Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them on 101 quoting log 544 14/02/14.
