THE three young women who will be representing Monmouthshire at the Miss Wales 2014 final have been announced.
The team consists of Hannah Baker, 22, an accounts executive from Portskewett, Louisa Fletcher, 17, an A level student from Abergavenny and Paige Morris, 24, a make up artist from Abergavenny. Team Monmouthshire will be one of 22 teams of young women from each local authority area in Wales who will take part in the Miss Wales final in April.
All three of the girls are in with a chance of being crowned Miss Monmouthshire 2014 and also Miss Wales 2014, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.
Paula Abbandonato, from Cardiff events and PR company Vibe, the organiser of Miss Wales, said: “The girls who make up Team Monmouthshire for 2014 are equally exceptional. They are bright, ambitious and energetic and are coming together under the Miss Wales umbrella to have fun and make a difference.”
All the money raised in Wales will be donated to Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre for Wales, which supports children with cerebral palsy.
Claire Brown, of Bobath Cymru said: “The support we will receive from Team Monmouthshire as well as the other regional teams will not only help raise the vital funds we need to run the centre, it will also help raise awareness of cerebral palsy and Bobath therapy right across Wales.”
