CCTV images have been released showing the moment a man wielding a machete robbed a Cwmbran newsagents.
Police are appealing for information following the robbery at Barters Newsagents on Llantarnam Road, Cwmbran on Monday 17th February.
Two men went into the shop at 9.50pm and, whilst holding a knife, demanded money from the shop assistant. They left with cash from the till. No one was injured.
Police believe they escaped on foot.
The man holding the knife was wearing grey/black coat, sunglasses and a bandana across the lower part of his face. He is approximately six feet one inch tall and of medium-large build. He spoke with a local accent.
The second man was wearing a distinctive white, yellow, blue and grey jacket.
Officers are keen to speak to a lady who went into the store immediately after the incident and spoke to the shop assistant.
