A LEADING mobile app which allows its customers to order and pay for drinks and food with their phone will launch in Newport tomorrow.
The app, Orderella, will go live at Rodney Parade, when the Newport Gwent Dragons face the Glasgow Warriors, making it one of the first of its kind to be available at rugby stadiums in the UK.
Thanks to Orderella, supporters in the Bisley Stand will no longer have to queue at the bar during the match, or at half time, but can spend more time enjoying the game, picking up their order from a designated area at the bar.
The app means fans can spend less time queuing.
Customers will simply order and pay for their drinks via their phone, receive a message when their drinks are ready and collect them from the bar.
Payments are made via Orderella’s provider, Paythru.
Dennis Collet, Orderella CEO said: “When you’re at the rugby, the last thing you want to be doing is queuing at the bar – you want to watch the game.
“The Dragons faithful will love being the first in the country to use the app.”
Mark Jones, head of operations at Rodney Parade, said: “There’s nothing like enjoying a match with a pint, and now this will be even easierto do at Rodney Parade.”
