THE work of a Gwent orthopaedic surgeon and leading authority on foot and ankle problems, will feature in a television documentary next week.
Kartik Hariharan, based at the Royal Gwent Hospital and at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, will appear on Dissected – The Incredible Human Foot, on BBC4, Tuesday, February 25, at 9pm.
A consultant orthopaedic surgeon for 20 years, Mr Hariharan has a variety of interests including the developmental anatomy and anthropological features of the foot.
He has lectured internationally and continues to coach orthopaedic trainees in foot surgery.
Mr Hariharan was formerly the president of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
“I’m very honoured to have been part of this programme celebrating the wonders of the human foot,” he said.
