THREE people have been arrested after a drug warrant was carried out in Pill on Friday night.
A warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act was undertaken in the Capel Crescent area of Newport on the evening of February 22 by the Pill Neighbourhood Policing Team. Three men aged 24, 29 and 58, all from the Newport area, were arrested for being concerned in the supply of drugs and money laundering.
A quantity of cannabis in addition to a significant amount of money were recovered from the property. All men are currently on police bail pending further enquiries. The local team would like to reinforce their intention to tackle the supply of illegal substances in the Pill area which is a recognised PACT priority for the ward as decided on by local residents.
Anyone with any information about drug dealing in their area is encouraged to ring 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
