“NOTORIOUS drug smuggler and bon viveur” Howard Marks will speak at Newport Central Library on March 6, at 7.30pm.

Mr Marks, also known as Mr Nice, held multiple aliases in his heyday as an international marijuana smuggler.

Now he spends his days entertaining audiences as a raconteur.

Library staff are excited to welcome Mr Marks for Scholar, Smuggler, Prisoner, Scribe, his spoken word show.

The billing claims that “Howard will look back at four action packed phases of his life including covering his time as an academic and his nascent interest in marijuana, through his infamous years as the world’s most notorious drugs trafficker and his incarceration”.
