TODAY marks two months since Newport teenager Nida Naseer went missing, but police are no closer to solving the mystery surrounding her disappearance.
Miss Naseer, 18, went missing from outside her family home on Linton Street, Pill, after putting the bins out on December 28.
Despite a number of public appeals involving Miss Naseer's family, police are no closer to finding the Coleg Gwent student.
Extensive enquiries undertaken by Gwent Police have included house to house enquiries, leaflet drops, CCTV searches, liaisons with partner agencies and the community and local searches.
Video appeals in both English and Urdu have been uploaded to YouTube.
Miss Naseer is of Asian-Pakistani appearance and has long dark hair, is slim and is five feet three inches tall. She was last known to be wearing blue jeans and a black top.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: "Locating Nida is a priority for the force. There is a dedicated incident room that is permanently staffed by officers, most are examining the very large amounts of CCTV and carrying out actions raised through our own enquiries.
"We continue to urge Nida to get in touch with us, her family or any one within the community or for anyone who thinks they may have seen her should call 101 quoting log 448 28/12/14"
