THREE police constables from Gwent Police have been suspended from duty and arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.
Two of the men, from Caerphilly county, and a man from the Newport area, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries, Gwent Police confirmed tonight in a statement.
The suspension and arrests came about as a result of a Gwent Police professional standards led investigation, they said.
The arrests took place on Thursday, February 6, and the investigation was referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission who will supervise the investigation.
