INTENSIVE support to families coping with alcohol or substance abuse is being extended to cover the whole of Wales as part of a flagship early intervention programme.
The Integrated Family Support Services programme is for families whose children are at risk of being taken into care where parental alcohol or substance misuse issues are a major contributing factor, and can also help to deal with domestic violence or mental health problems.
All Welsh local authorities, in partnership with their respective local health boards, are now offering timely access to the service.
