FIREFIGHTERS attended a gas incident after a copper pipe was apparently severed in Cwmbran last night.
Police also dealt with the incident in Farlow Walk shortly after 9pm.
South Wales Fire & Rescue Service said today there was no explosion.
A fire service spokeswoman said: “A copper gas pipe was severed deliberately in St Dials at 9.08pm in Cwmbran. A crew made it safe, the police and gas board attended.”
