CHEPSTOW firefighters supported an appeal to raise funds for a Caldicot tot to have a pioneering operation.
The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service crew, who are based at Chepstow Fire Station, pledged their support for the appeal, which has passed the £4,000 mark, and will make a donation from funds raised at charity car wash being held at Tesco in Chepstow between 9am and 1pm on March 29.
Mum Catherine Ashwell-Rice, of Lapwing Avenue, launched the appeal for her daughter Imogen Ashwell-Lewis, two, over a month ago through the Tree of Hope charity.
The Argus’ sister paper The Free Press is backing the appeal. Ms Ashwell-Rice is raising the money so that her daughter can have a radical procedure to enable her to walk independently.
