SCENE: Police set up a cordon following the bomb alert in Risca on Tuesday
A NEWPORT man will appear in court this morning charged with possessing an explosive substance following a bomb alert in Risca on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old, who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of possession of an explosive article in suspicious circumstances, will appear at Newport Magistrates Court.
The 50-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of the same offence has been released with no further action to be taken.
