NEWPORT’S only microbrewery are celebrating their second anniversary this month.
The Tiny Rebel Brewing Company situated on Maesglas Industrial Estate, first started brewing in March 2012 and are now expanding their workforce to seven with a position for a brewery assistant.
The new recruit will be trained in brewery making, cask washing and weighing, and mixing ingredients.
It is part of a Jobs Growth Wales Scheme where the Welsh Government pay the salary for the first six months.
Gareth Williams, 33, co- director and head brewer said: “We are making a lot more beer than we have been. It’s gone really well so far.
“To celebrate we are bringing out our first ever lager. It will be a Bohemian lager and we’re thinking of naming it Boho.”
The company who recently opened their own bar, The Urban Tap House, on Westgate Street in Cardiff are already thinking about their next project.
“We are hoping to get a place in Newport if the Friars Walk development works out,” said Mr Williams.
