CWMBRAN Stadium staff are urging people to dig out their running kit and take part in the Sport Relief Mile.
People can choose to walk or run one mile, three miles or six miles and raise money for the Sport Relief charity on Sunday, March 23.
Sally Church, Chief Executive of Torfaen Leisure Trust, who operate the stadium, said: “This is the first time the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Cwmbran so get training and show the rest of the country what we can do.“There will be activities on the day so don’t forget to rope in friends and family.”
Other Sport Relief events will be held across Gwent at The Riverfront in Newport, Waunfawr Park in Risca, Caerphilly Castle, Caldicot Castle and The Old Station, Tintern.
Sport Relief has been held every two years, in association with Comic Relief and BBC Sport, since 2002. When it was last held in 2012, more than £50 million was raised.
