A CHEPSTOW organisation pledged its support towards an appeal to help a tot have a pioneering operation.
The Chepstow and District Vintage Club will donate the funds raised from its tractor road run, which takes place on April 13, in aid of two-year-old Imogen Ashwell-Lewis.
The club’s president, Robert Powell, said the club read about Imogen’s plight in our sister paper the Free Press.
Mr Powell,78, of Caerwent said: “We were looking for a local charity to donate the money raised to and read about Imogen’s appeal in the Free Press. It was lovely to meet her and show her my collection of tractors, which includes a mini-tractor owned by my grandson Brett Powell.”
Her mum Catherine Ashwell-Rice, 36, of Lapwing Avenue, Caldicot, said: “Imogen thoroughly enjoyed her visit to meet the representatives from the vintage club and seeing their tractors. She was keen to start the engine up and go for a drive.”
